Job Description

What do we do? Molded Dimensions, located in Port Washington, manufactures precision molded rubber and cast polyurethane mechanical components used in a variety of industries from heavy machines to small engines, marine, waste management, automotive, medical food processing, construction and mining, just to name a few. What do we need? We are looking to fill a role on 1st shift (5am-1pm) and 2nd shift (1pm-9pm) in our Metal Prep department at our Rubber facility in Port Washington. This person would be trained to work in metal prep and be responsible for sand blasting and priming of rubber parts. Respirator use is required when working in some area. Experience working in manufacturing preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform surface preparation on metal components using hand tools, power tools and spray guns. Operate machinery and equipment such as sandblasters, grinders, and basic tools. Inspect metal surfaces for defects, imperfections, or irregularities and take corrective actions as necessary. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to maintain consistency and quality in metal prep processes. Collaborate with production team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines. Document work activities, including material usage, production logs, and quality control data accurately.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to wear appropriate protective equipment during work hours which may require respirator use while working in spray booth. Previous experience in metal preparation, surface treatment, or related field preferred. Familiarity with operating hand and power tools, sandblasting equipment, and grinders Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and quality orientation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work 1st shift hours and occasional overtime as needed.
