This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of science, technology, and farming, helping to develop sustainable crop solutions that benefit farmers and the environment alike. You will leverage your expertise in scientific research, data analysis, and agricultural sciences to support ongoing Integrated Pest Management, fertilizer, and irrigation (crop steering) projects aimed at optimizing crop yields and resilience. Responsibilities Conduct sprays, drenches, and other procedures to control pests and disease in mostly indoor grown crops. Collect, analyze, and interpret data using statistical tools to inform research outcomes and improve crop management strategies Design experimental protocols to test hypotheses related to plant growth, disease resistance, and soil health within indoor, greenhouse, and field settings Utilize technology for spatial analysis of crop performance across different environments Utilize mostly DRAMM Spray equipment to provide weekly pest control services, disease mitigation, and mildew protection. Maintain detailed records of experiments, data collection processes, and some lab procedures ensuring accuracy and reproducibility Monitor grow room environmentals to ensure optimal growth and write site visit reports keeping our team and clients in constant contact. Qualifications Bachelor's or higher degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry or related fields with relevant laboratory experience Proven experience in scientific research, experimental design, and data analysis skills Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as molecular biology methods or microbiological assays Familiarity with farming practices, greenhouse operations, and field trials in agricultural settings Strong work ethic and the ability to work hard under intense conditions (Heat, physical exertion, etc.).
