Job Title:
Food Quality Control Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Food Quality Control Technician to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance in our food production processes. You will report to the QA Manager and work from Monday through Friday on the second shift, 2 PM to 10:30 PM. Your primary responsibilities will include product evaluation, risk assessments, QA for shipping and receiving, equipment calibration, and adherence to food safety protocols. Responsibilities Complete product evaluations and risk assessments. Ensure quality assurance for shipping and receiving processes. Calibrate equipment and conduct pH, brix, and color assessments. Adjust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary. Conduct audits and prepare for FDA audits. Maintain food safety standards and knowledge. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in teams. Assist in the preparation of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Critical Control Points (CCP), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) certifications. Essential Skills Strong understanding of GMP, SOP, HACCP, and food safety protocols. Experience in quality control, inspection, and documentation. Proficiency in lab procedures and assessments. Effective communication and multitasking abilities. Ability to work well in groups and teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to approach and coach individuals on proper SOP standards. Self-starter mentality with a desire to learn and grow. Emphasis on having a strong presence at work. Long-term commitment with a minimum of 2-3 years, ideally 5+ years. Work Environment You will be working in a large production and warehouse environment. Initial training will take place on the first shift for approximately a month. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
