Food Manufacturing About the Role A growing food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment issues. Assemble, install, maintain, and repair machinery and production equipment. Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and maintenance procedures. Inspect, service, and test equipment according to preventive maintenance schedules. Maintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys. Utilize electrical meters and testing equipment for troubleshooting purposes. Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment safely. Perform basic welding, fabrication, machining, or related repair work as needed. Operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely when required. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document repairs and maintenance activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with production and other plant departments to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or experience in a similar maintenance mechanic role. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge and ability to use electrical testing equipment. Experience operating hand tools and power tools safely. Strong computer skills and ability to use CMMS software and email systems. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety procedures, and equipment manuals. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely move equipment and materials. Ability to work extended shifts, including up to 12-hour shifts when required. Preferred Food manufacturing experience. Welding and fabrication experience. Experience operating forklifts and boom lifts. Experience with machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, and band saws. Experience working with facility utilities and support equipment. Work Environment Food manufacturing and production facility environment. Fast-paced operation with automated production equipment. Frequent interaction with machinery, tools, and maintenance systems. Physical role requiring standing, lifting, climbing, and equipment troubleshooting throughout the shift.
