  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Further Processing Technician to join our dynamic food processing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced processing tasks that ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of our food products. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality meat and food items, adhering to strict safety and sanitation standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, mechanical knowledge, and food safety are paramount. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food production and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the processing line. Responsibilities Operate and monitor processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols. Perform meat cutting, trimming, and portioning tasks with precision using knives and other tools, ensuring consistent product specifications. Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by adhering to strict sanitation procedures and HACCP requirements throughout the processing area. Package finished products efficiently while ensuring proper labeling, sealing, and storage according to company standards. Conduct routine mechanical inspections of processing machinery, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime. Assist in training new team members on safety procedures, equipment operation, and food safety protocols within a food processing plant setting. Qualifications Prior experience in manufacturing or food processing environments, preferably within the meat or food industry. Strong knife skills with experience in meat cutting or food preparation is highly desirable. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, sanitation practices, HACCP standards, and food safety requirements. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues quickly. Familiarity with packaging processes and food production workflows. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work area.
