Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Food Equipment Service Technician to join our team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of commercial food equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our clients' kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration knowledge in a fast-paced field service environment. As a key member of our team, you will deliver exceptional customer service while demonstrating technical proficiency and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair various commercial food equipment including ovens, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other kitchen appliances using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Install new equipment by assembling components, connecting electrical systems, and ensuring proper operation according to manufacturer specifications. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues efficiently to restore equipment functionality swiftly. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents to guide repairs and installations. Communicate clearly with customers regarding service needs, repair procedures, and maintenance recommendations. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in appliance repair or equipment maintenance within a field service setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals confidently. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, HVAC components, electrical wiring, and appliance assembly. Delivery driver experience with familiarity operating box trucks or similar vehicles is preferred. Customer service skills that enable positive interactions with clients while providing professional support. Knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical troubleshooting techniques is highly desirable.
