Job Description

Food Service Worker What You'll Do As a Food Service Worker II, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing high-quality meals and exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors. You'll support daily food service operations, food preparation, and sanitation standards to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive dining experience. In this role, you will: Arrive to work on time, follow scheduled breaks, and maintain accurate timekeeping in accordance with Time & Attendance policies. Follow all departmental policies, including dress code, phone usage, and appropriate computer use. Stay informed by reading emails, menu notes, meeting minutes, and other communication. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following infection control and safety guidelines. Monitor, complete, and document assigned temperature checks and scheduled cleaning tasks. Properly use all food service equipment and tools. Prepare food following posted menus, standardized recipes, and portion control guidelines. Support the department's quality program, ensuring menu availability and consistency for patients. Follow the daily Work Sheet assigned for your role. Demonstrate leadership skills when needed, such as giving feedback, adapting to schedule changes, and assisting with performance improvement efforts. Forecast food needs accurately and help reduce waste, including proper use of leftovers. Perform all other duties as assigned to support food service operations.
