Job Summary Packaging Operator/Warehouse Utility/Maintenance Tech We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Production Specialist to join our dynamic team at a leading food processing plant. In this role, you will oversee the manufacturing and packaging of food products, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality specifications. Your expertise will contribute to efficient food processing operations, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food industry regulations and manufacturing processes, committed to delivering safe and quality products to consumers worldwide. Duties Operate and monitor food production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other relevant food safety standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, machinery, and packaging stations to uphold food safety standards Assist in the preparation and packaging of food products, ensuring accurate portioning and labeling Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to identify deviations or defects Support troubleshooting mechanical issues with production equipment, utilizing basic mechanical knowledge Follow established safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and forklift operation when necessary Document production activities accurately, including batch records and sanitation logs Participate in ongoing training related to food safety, processing techniques, and equipment operation Skills Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and overall food safety practices Experience in food production or manufacturing environments within the food industry Familiarity with food processing techniques and packaging procedures Basic mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance and troubleshooting Strong understanding of sanitation procedures critical to a food processing plant Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, portioning, and quality assessments Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety compliance Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting issues promptly This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about food manufacturing and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
