Overview Join our team as a Food Safety / Quality Technician lead and become a vital part of ensuring the highest standards of product safety, quality, and compliance within our manufacturing environment. As a key player in quality assurance, you will support continuous improvement initiatives, conduct rigorous inspections, and ensure adherence to industry standards such as FDA regulations, SQF, HACCP, NOP, and GMP. Your proactive approach will help us deliver safe, reliable products that meet both customer expectations and regulatory demands. Duties Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, process deviations, and non-conformances to support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Support the implementation and maintenance of robust quality systems by documenting inspection results, audit findings, and process validations. Participate in internal and external audits to verify adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues promptly while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and compliance. Ensure food safety and quality standards are met in production and warehouse environments in accordance with established procedures. Collect ingredient, in-process, and finished product samples according to QA and food safety requirements. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely QA, production, sanitation, and traceability documentation. Verify proper packaging, sealing, labeling, coding, and stacking of finished products. Perform regular case-weight checks and follow established corrective action and notification procedures when deviations occur. Assist with internal and external audit preparation, including organizing records, completing assigned checklists, and providing documentation upon request. Support SQF, HACCP, NOP, and GMP programs by completing required logs, verifications, and monitoring activities. Notify Management of quality, equipment, sanitation, or process issues so corrective action and maintenance can be initiated. Ensure all raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods are properly stacked, identified, and labeled with the correct company information. Observe product quality during production and report any concerns immediately. Perform other duties as assigned Skills Relevant degree or equivalent; 1-2 years of related experience in food production or quality preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Experience working in food manufacturing environments with basic knowledge of HACCP, SQF, SSOPs, and SOPs preferred but not required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written procedures and prioritize tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong documentation skills for recording inspection results, audit findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials weighing 20-50 lbs on a regular basis. Repetitive grasping, twisting, pulling, and pushing. Working around loud equipment in a production environment.
