Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our rapidly growing food ingredient processing company as a Quality Control Technician . This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Perform chemical and analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Record sample submissions, prepare testing procedures, and evaluate quality test results. Maintain accurate records of microbiological and chemical testing activities. Ensure laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP). Calibrate, maintain, and document laboratory equipment in accordance with the facility's Quality Management System. Manage retention samples for production batches and maintain laboratory chemical inventory. Collaborate with the Technical Team and Food Safety Manager on new product development and specialty blend formulation. Maintain daily records of quality control testing for raw materials, ingredients, and finished production batches. Assist with food safety and quality initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and certification requirements. Participate in facility hygiene, housekeeping, and internal audit activities to maintain audit readiness. Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager. Qualifications Associate degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required. Preferred Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Position Details Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Monday-Friday work schedule Eligible for company benefits in accordance with company policy Subject to a 90-day introductory/probationary period
