• Manhattan, KS A leading company in the bottling industry is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Food Processing Technician to join its state-of-the-art facility in Manhattan, KS.

This Food Processing Maintenance Technician role is on 3rd shift, starting between 4-5 PM for 8-10 hour shifts, Sunday through Thursday. Occasional travel to Wichita, KS is required. Pay is $25 per hour.

Food Processing Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair production equipment used for manufacturing products. Ensure efficient maintenance and smooth changeovers of equipment, converting raw materials to finished goods seamlessly. Stay current on all processing equipment and upgrades. Travel between the Manhattan and Wichita locations as needed (reliable transportation required). Perform emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance on various machinery. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Maintain motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems using detailed manuals. Service auxiliary equipment, such as chillers, heaters, dryers, grinders, and conveyors.

Qualifications:

Food Processing Maintenance Technician Job Qualifications:

3-4 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a production or food-grade environment. Proficiency in PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) systems. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Ability to lift and move up to 100lbs. Position requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, climbing, and working in confined spaces. Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: Industrial Electricity/Electronics, Pumps, Pipe Fitting/Plumbing, Machine Installation and Rigging, Conveyor Systems, HVAC Systems, Building Construction, Shop Safety.
