Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manager to lead our team of skilled chemical applicators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing the safe, precise and compliant application of fertilizers and herbicides. This role requires a strong understanding of safety procedures, excellent manual skills, and the ability to supervise and manage a team of chemical applicators. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision Supervise, train, and schedule a team of field chemical applicators and technicians. Provide "Train the Trainer" instruction on safety regulations and chemical handling. Handle customer relations, including resolving complaints, explaining treatments, and providing recommendations. Operational Duties Oversee the safe mixing, loading, and application of restricted and general-use chemicals. Manage the inventory, procurement, and secure storage of fertilizers and chemicals. Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of large spray equipment, spreaders, and tractors. Maintain detailed logs and accurate records of chemical applications, weather conditions, and treated areas
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
A bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field is highly preferred, though significant, equivalent field experience is often accepted.
Certifications:
State-issued Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (relevant categories such as Agricultural, Turf/Ornamental, Right-of-Way, or Demonstration & Research). Required Skills Deep understanding of pest biology, weed identification, and soil chemistry . Advanced knowledge of calibration techniques, weather conditions, and spray equipment. Strong computer proficiency for inventory management and generating regulatory reports. Physical stamina and comfort working outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
License/Certification:
Pesticide Applicator's License (Required)
