In this lively role, you'll be the face of our fun and friendly ice cream shop, serving up delicious treats with a smile. Your energetic approach will help foster a welcoming environment, ensuring customers leave happy and eager to return. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop food service expertise while working in a fast-paced, joyful setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings Scoop ice cream accurately and efficiently using proper food handling techniques to ensure quality and sanitation Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly and accurately Upsell additional products like cones, sundaes, or specialty toppings to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including sanitizing scoops, counters, and equipment regularly Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cash register operations and providing correct change Support food preparation tasks such as preparing waffle cones, topping stations, and packaging orders for takeout or dine-in Experience Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for upselling opportunities Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing time effectively Experience in retail math or grocery store environments is advantageous but not mandatory Join us to bring joy through delicious treats while sharpening your skills in a dynamic food industry setting!
