Job Description

Position:
Dietary Transport & Food Service Technician Status:
Full Time, Hourly We are seeking a dependable Dietary Transport & Food Service Technician to support meal preparation and delivery across our inpatient behavioral health campus. This role assists in kitchen food preparation and safely transports meals to patient care units using a dietary van.
Position Summary:
This position supports both kitchen operations and meal delivery between buildings on campus. Responsibilities include preparing, portioning, packaging, and transporting meals using insulated hot and cold carriers. This role requires safe driving, physical activity, and timely delivery of meals to ensure patients receive appropriate nutrition services. Essential Functions Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, and tray setup in the kitchen Load, transport, and deliver meals to inpatient units using a dietary van Safely lift, carry, and move insulated food containers and supplies Ensure meals are delivered on time and maintained at proper temperatures Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and transport areas Follow food safety, infection control, and dietary guidelines Assist with kitchen cleanup and other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Must possess a current Mississippi or Louisiana driver's license based on state of residence Must have a clean driving record to be added to the company's vehicle insurance Ability to safely lift and carry heavy food containers and supplies Ability to work in a fast paced environment with time sensitive deadlines Basic communication and teamwork skills Food service or kitchen experience preferred but not required This role is essential in ensuring timely and safe meal delivery across multiple buildings within the facility.
