Job Description
Food Safety & Quality Technician (FSQ) Fall River, MA 3rd shift $20.00 to $23.00 per hour and must speak english The Food Safety & Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring all products meet company, customer, and regulatory food safety and quality standards. This role supports production by monitoring processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with established food safety programs such as HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities of the Food Safety & Quality Technician (FSQ) Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products Monitor and enforce GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety policies on the production floor Conduct pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment and lines meet sanitation standards Verify critical control points (CCPs) and complete required HACCP documentation Collect samples for testing (microbiological, weight, temperature, etc.) Document and report any deviations, non-conformances, or food safety risks Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as needed Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and product traceability Work closely with production teams to maintain quality standards and resolve issues in real time Assist with internal audits and regulatory inspections (FDA, USDA, or third-party audits) Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements Qualifications of the Food Safety & Quality Technician (FSQ) High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Food Science or related field preferred 1-3 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality, or food safety preferred Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures Basic computer skills (data entry, Microsoft Office) Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs as needed Comfortable working in cold, wet, or refrigerated environments Use of PPE including hairnets, gloves, safety glasses, etc.Job Type:
