Food Production Blending Technician Lead- 1st shift & 2nd shift

Rapidly growing Rosedale, MD food manufacturing and packaging company seeks experienced Blending Technician Lead for 2ndst shift, Must train on 1st shift (M-Thur 6am-4:30pm) Friday as needed and then convert to 2nd shift . 2nd shift (M-Fri., 2-10:30pm) must be willing to train on days prior to going to 2nd shift.

Major Responsibilities:

Leads Blending Techs in the production of safe quality blends while demonstrating the adherence of GMP policies and Food Safety and Food Defense Prerequisite Programs. Proficiently executes the Pre-Weigh Process and Blending Process, while leading a small team. Executes appropriate quality documentation to assure customer quality parameters are achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for assuring adherence of line specific S.O.P.' s 2. Execution of Pre-Weigh Verification Sheets, Bill of Materials/Work Orders 3. Participation in Food Safety & Food Defense Plans 4. Perform Critical Control Point Checks prior to adding ingredients in the Blender 5. Execute proper documents when Food Safety or Quality Concerns are discovered 6. Performs proper sanitation on utensils and equipment and facilities utilized Qualifications

• Diploma/GED
• Knowledge and experience with GMP's, food safety programs (SQF, etc.) and HACCP skills.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs., bend, kneel and stoop
• Strong Math Skills
• Effective communication skills verbally and written
