Agricultural Equipment Service Technician (2 years exp)

Job Function:

This position requires the person to be self-motivated to maintain, trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair farm machinery, planters, trucks, grain trailers, and forklifts as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Perform field service trouble shooting and repairs. 2.

Customer Service:

Relates to customers in a friendly and professional manner. Attend to customers that walk in the facility. 3. Perform service work on agricultural planters at the highest level. 4. Follow procedures to ensure quality control standards are met when servicing equipment. 5. Participate in maintaining a safe work environment. 6. Maintain the cleanliness of the work area. 7. Keep tools and equipment organized. 8. Completes documentation and time sheets of all service work as well as parts used 9. Maintain adequate equipment repair records of our equipment in our asset database. 10. Must be flexible and willing to help with other areas and roles, as seasonal demands change. 11. Adapt quickly to the needs of changing priorities. 12. Will need to understand and learn various controls and systems of agricultural planters. 13. Works with entire team at Yield Technology Service to support a positive and productive work environment. 14. Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical service on agricultural equipment.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Perform repairs and maintenance on our semi fleet. 2. May be asked to cross train in other areas. 3. Performs other duties as requested by Management. 4. Participates in training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

1. Strong organization and leadership skills. 2. Strong customer relation skills; able to always act and react in a professional manner. 3. Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment. 4. Basic computer skills. 5. Knowledge of OSHA standards. 6. Ability to train others with job related skills. 7. Is a team player. 8. General knowledge of agricultural machinery. 9. Able to lift 75lbs. 10. Must have a valid driver's license.
