Operate independently in the field with robust technical resources behind you. Role snapshot Own preventive and corrective maintenance for commercial kitchen and building systems. Deliver fast, high-quality responses that meet established SLAs for Operators. Service equipment across hot-side cooking, sealed-system refrigeration, specialty foodservice units, and base-building HVAC. Brands you'll encounter: Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, Garland Grill. Coordinate with manufacturers for advanced diagnostics/parts; work with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team while onsite. Install parts accurately; validate performance to spec.
Maintain precise documentation:
work orders, time, receipts, truck stock. Keep a clean, organized vehicle, tools, and inventory. Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies. Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention procedures. Engage in OEM training and certification; collaborate with service partners and vendors. Meet productivity targets aligned with company standards. Qualifications Trade school training and/or strong hands-on experience; 5+ years related trade experience (or equivalent). Proven competency in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, hot-side equipment, mechanical power transmission. Experience servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems. EPA Universal Certification required. Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and safe driving record (MVR required); able to operate company vehicles. Reads diagrams/schematics; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service apps. Excellent communication; self-directed with a service mindset. Travel 100% within your local market. Limited overnight trips, primarily for onboarding/training. Physical demands Extended work during urgent situations (including overtime). Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (ladder safety training provided; roof access ladders onsite; minimal van loading of large ladders). Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, crawling. Prolonged standing/walking on various surfaces. Frequent use of arms, wrists, and hands with tools/machinery. Indoor/outdoor work in changing weather.
