Seasonal Food Safety Technician A&T Farms Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Food Safety Technician to support our food safety, quality control, traceability, and compliance programs. This position will work closely with our EHSQ department, warehouse team, field crews, and management to help ensure that our produce is grown, harvested, packed, stored, and shipped safely. This is a hands-on seasonal role for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and interested in agriculture, produce safety, quality control, or food production. Position Type Seasonal Position This position is expected to run through approximately November 1 , depending on crop season, weather, and business needs. This position is also available as a seasonal internship for students or early-career applicants interested in gaining hands-on experience in agriculture, produce safety, food safety compliance, traceability, quality control, and farm operations. Opportunities for full-time employment may be available after the completion of this season based on performance evaluations and company needs. Responsibilities The Food Safety Technician will help with: Daily food safety checks in the warehouse, packing areas, fields, coolers, and storage areas Monitoring employee hygiene, handwashing, sanitation, and food safety practices Completing food safety records, checklists, inspections, and logs Supporting produce traceability, lot code records, PTI labels, and FSMA 204-related documentation Inspecting product quality and reporting concerns to management Verifying cleaning and sanitation procedures Helping prepare for food safety audits, customer inspections, and buyer requirements Assisting with employee training and reminders related to food safety and workplace safety Supporting corrective actions when issues are found Communicating food safety expectations to warehouse and field employees Helping maintain organized records for audits and customer requirements Reporting food safety, quality, sanitation, or workplace safety concerns promptly Qualifications Strong candidates will have: Strong attention to detail Ability to follow written procedures and complete records accurately Ability to communicate clearly and professionally Willingness to work in warehouse, field, cooler, and outdoor environments Basic computer, tablet, or smartphone skills Agriculture, produce, food safety, quality control, or warehouse experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred Previous experience with PrimusGFS, FSMA, GAP, HACCP, sanitation, traceability, or quality control is a plus but not required Students studying agriculture, food science, environmental health and safety, agribusiness, agricultural systems, or a related field are encouraged to apply for the internship version of this position. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Walk through fields, warehouse areas, coolers, packing areas, and loading areas Stand for extended periods Work in hot, cold, dusty, wet, or outdoor conditions Lift up to 30-50 lbs as needed Use a tablet, phone, clipboard, or computer to complete records Follow all company food safety, biosecurity, and worker safety procedures Schedule This is a seasonal position expected to run through approximately November 1 , depending on crop season, weather, and business needs. Hours will vary depending on harvest, packing, audit, and production needs. Some early mornings, longer days, and occasional weekends may be required during peak season.
