Job Description

FOOD PROCESSING EQUIPMENT CLEANING & RESTORATION TECHNICIAN
We are looking for a motivated, hard-working Food Processing Cleaning & Restoration Technician. Under general supervision, you will work with our other shop staff to test run, repair and refurbish industrial food processing and packaging equipment. Fork lift operation will be required to move equipment in and out of work areas, in and out of warehousing, and for truck loading and unloading. You will have to become forklift certified if you are not already. The job also requires building custom wooden skids and crates to secure equipment for domestic and international shipment, using hand and power tools.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
Good physical strength and stamina are required, for working on hard-to-reach areas of machines, bending, walking, standing, and /or occasionally pushing / pulling / lifting products or parts up to approximately 60 lbs. Drug-free, steady, reliable 45 hour per week (five hours overtime). Reliable attendance required.
Other Requirements:
Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Reliable, accountable and team oriented. Comfortable with physical labor and active workdays. Ability to lift equipment and work in varying job site conditions. Safety conscious and careful. Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions.
Neatness and organization:
must keep work area clean and orderly. Performs are and facility maintenance such as general cleanup, sweeping, mopping, washing, & etc.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(not required): Food factory equipment maintenance experience. Body shop or similar experience with surface preparation, metal repair, body fillers, fiberglass, paints, primers, cleaning. Fork Lift certification. Basic carpentry skills. OSHA 10 certified.
