Do:

As a Horticulture Technician, you'll perform a variety of horticultural, groundskeeping and greenhouse tasks, including watering, weeding, planting, transplanting, pruning and mulching.

You Will Also:

Provide exemplary service to guests and ambassadors Maintain the landscaping in the park and surrounding areas Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as watering, weeding, planting and pruning Perform tasks related to cold-weather protection as well as preparation for storms and perform repair work for any weather damage or other damage Maintain cleanliness and quality of work area Perform and complete assigned tasks from management as needed What it Takes to

Succeed:

Detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment under general supervision A passion for customer service Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines including PA pesticide license Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications What else is

Important:

Must be 16 years of age or older Must be able to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs Willingness to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing) Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat and cold temperatures Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement.
