Sales Agronomist Location:
Lansford/Minot Position Overview At Farmers Choice, we are committed to delivering real value to farmers through trusted products and expert support. We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Sales Agronomist to join our team. In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with growers, offer expert agronomic advice, and drive adoption of our seed, crop protection, fertility, and agronomy services. You will be a key contributor in helping our growers thrive—and in supporting our mission: "Your Farm. Your Future. Your Choice." Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective growers in the assigned territory, understanding their operations, challenges and goals. Recommend agronomic solutions tailored to customer needs, including seed selection, fertility programs, crop protection, soil health practices, and precision agronomy services. Sell and support Farmers Choice's products and services while ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term grower loyalty. Conduct field scouting, soil sampling/data analysis, and on-farm demonstrations to identify crop issues and opportunities for improvement. Provide technical agronomic support and training to growers and internal teams (e.g., seed treatment, biologicals, crop protection). Stay current on agronomic research, emerging technologies, and locally relevant crop production practices. Farmers Choice emphasizes innovation, transparency, and research-driven solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams - e.g., seed treatment, biologicals, product development, marketing - to align on product positioning and grower support. Prepare and execute annual sales plans and forecasts for the territory; track progress toward targets and adapt strategies as needed. Represent Farmers Choice at trade shows, field days and local grower events, reinforcing our brand promise: high-quality, sustainable, farmer-first solutions. Qualifications Preferred 2-5 years (or more) of experience in agronomy, agriculture, sales, or agricultural sales. Strong agronomic knowledge of regional crops, soils and production practices or willing to learn. Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple growers and projects in a territory. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
