POSITION SUMMARY
The Culinary Coordinator performs all functions related to proper food preparation, food service, food storage, and maintenance of the cold cases with adnce to all ServSafe protocols. Responsibilities include inventory management, cleaning, meal planning, ensuring food quality and presentation, as well as interacting with guests in a service-oriented manner. All aspects of the position mustply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, safety and sanitation procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Collaborates with team regarding meal planning and menu development with a focus on cost controls and utilizing local food products. Prepares, serves and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage. Strictly ads to all food handling and safety regulations. Identify quantity, type, expiry date, and location of all food items. Assist with inventory control using first in/first out procedures and provide general stocking duties to minimize waste. Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area. Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service toply with all sanitation, safety, production and merchandising requirements. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures. Responsible for daily and scheduled cleanings and inspections s needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately. Ensures timely reporting of any food quality, food waste, or low supply issues. Ability to work breakfast and/or dinner shifts as needed Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and guests.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
A minimum of 2 years of culinary experience in meal preparation. Culinary or hospitality degree is a plus. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
COMPENSATION
This position is a full-time salary exempt position and is eligible for medical, dental, 401 (k) and paid time off (PTO) benefits. Compensation depends on experience.
Pay Details:
