Full-Time (typically 40 hours a week)
Required Days:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings
Compensation:
$37,440 a year Reports to: Director of Markets & Local Food About Fresh Link Farms & Community Link Mission Fresh Link Farms is a hydroponic freight farm and a program of Community Link Mission , a nonprofit organization working to alleviate hunger and poverty in Northwest Tarrant County. Community Link provides food assistance, case management, and mental health counseling to individuals and families in need. Through Fresh Link Farms, we grow fresh, nutritious produce year-round using sustainable hydroponic systems. Our farm also plays an active role in supporting local food access and community engagement through the Azle and Saginaw Farmers Markets . Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and mission-driven individual to join our team as a Full-Time Farm Hand & Market Support Staff . This role blends hands-on hydroponic farming with community-facing work at local farmers markets. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in sustainable agriculture, local food systems, and nonprofit work who enjoys both physical farm labor and public engagement. Key Responsibilities Hydroponic Farm Duties Planting, transplanting, and harvesting crops in a hydroponic system Monitoring plant health, water levels, and nutrients Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and growing areas Packing produce for distribution, donation, and market sales Assisting with basic system maintenance and organization Following standard operating procedures for food safety Farmers Market Support Attending and assisting at the Azle and Saginaw Farmers Markets Helping with market setup and breakdown Providing excellent customer service to market shoppers Representing Fresh Link Farms and Community Link Mission professionally Supporting market programming and community engagement efforts Assisting with basic promotion or social media when needed Qualifications Strong work ethic and reliability Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team Experience or interest in event planning or community events General knowledge of basic tools and the ability to safely use hand tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Comfortable working in warm or humid outdoor environments Reliable transportation between farm and market locations Friendly, professional attitude and strong communication skills Availability for required Saturday mornings Preferred (but not required) Experience in farming, gardening, or greenhouse work Experience with farmers markets or community events Interest in food access, sustainability, or nonprofit work Basic familiarity with social media or community outreach Why Work With Us?
