Job Description
SUMMARY:
The PNW Agronomy Technician will play a key role in supporting field operations, laboratory research, and grower outreach across the Pacific Northwest. This position serves as a bridge between the sales, technical, and research departments by managing grower relationships, coordinating field and lab trials, analyzing data, and supporting the development of innovative agricultural solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong agronomic knowledge, technical proficiency, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons: Research & Development Conduct field and laboratory trials to evaluate fertilizer blends, soil additives, and new products. Collaborate with scientists, sales, and growers on ongoing R&D projects and product development. Record, organize, and report data findings from trials; prepare summaries and presentations. Analyze trial results and make agronomic recommendations. Maintain accurate, detailed records of trials and methodologies. Organize and maintain records of trial data and/or sample collections. Field Work & Grower Support Consult with growers on crop management practices and provide technical support. Evaluate soil, tissue, and/or drone imagery analysis for field trials. Coordinate and perform sample collection from trial or grower sites. Maintain strong working relationships with growers and ensure ongoing communication. Organize and participate in grower meetings, technical seminars, field days, and training events. Provide recommendations on fertilizer and herbicide use specific to crops and region. Able to safely operate ATV-type vehicles during data collection. Lab & Equipment Management Prepare, process, and analyze soil and plant samples in the laboratory. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and ensure proper procurement of supplies. Ensure lab safety and compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab and field equipment. Conduct and organize data to share compatibility tests for grower and sales requests. Collaboration & Communication Act as a liaison with universities, government agencies, and industry partners to share research and gather insights. Participate in internal meetings with sales and R&D teams to align strategy and progress. Present trial results and technical findings to internal teams, growers, and industry stakeholders. Vehicle and Operational Maintenance Oversee maintenance and inspection of company vehicles and field equipment. Assist in maximizing productivity and efficiency during field operations. Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field (master's preferred). Minimum 2 years' experience in agricultural lab and/or field research. Strong communication skills, with fluency in English (Spanish preferred). Valid driver's license and ability to travel (up to 60% of the time, including weekends and some overnight stays). Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple projects, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
