Laboratory Technician•Food Science/Microbiology/Analytical Testing Schedule 12-Hour Shift | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off 6:00 AM•6:00
PM Duration:
5 months contract with possibilities of extension
Pay Rate:
$23/hr to $25/hr Work Environment Food manufacturing environment. Must be comfortable standing for extended periods, climbing, crawling, working in dusty areas, and brief exposure to temperatures up to 110°F. Job Summary The Laboratory Technician will perform routine analytical and laboratory testing to support food safety, quality, and operational teams. Responsibilities include product testing, instrumentation monitoring, documentation of results, calibration checks, and compliance with food safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform routine testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products. Monitor and maintain laboratory instrumentation performance. Document and communicate test results accurately. Conduct calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and simple equipment repairs. Support food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs. Maintain testing records and update customer specification documents. Assist with inspections, trials, and laboratory support activities. Required Qualifications Laboratory or food manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to follow SOPs, safety rules, and laboratory procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer and documentation skills. Ability to read and interpret procedures and safety documents. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Pay:
$23.00•$25.00 per hour
