Job Description

Boone Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and dependable Food Service Technician to join our Dietary team. In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals to patients, staff, and visitors—playing a vital part in patient care and overall satisfaction. Essential Functions Prepare and serve hot and cold food items according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines Review menus and complete production sheets based on physician-ordered diets Maintain accurate records following IDDSI guidelines and department standards Follow HACCP procedures to ensure safe food handling and prevent foodborne illness Present food in an appealing manner using proper portion control Store food and supplies according to safety and sanitation standards Assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving deliveries Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas Follow infection control and universal precautions Assist with daily cleaning tasks and department projects Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors Operate cash register and run daily dietary reports in CPSI Participate in training and maintain compliance with all policies Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
