Job Description

About us: Sam's Furniture is Northwest Arkansas' largest furniture destination. More than furniture, the company is also very active in the community as well as around the world. Our company mission statement is to be the BEST furniture store in Arkansas... while serving Others in Our Community, and Around the Globe.

Starting Pay:

$17/hr-$22/hr

Responsibilities:

Delivery Prep:

Pulling merchandise/furniture for outgoing deliveries from warehouse

Assembly:

Inspection and assembly of merchandise/furniture being delivered to customers

Driving:

Drive from home-to-home on a predetermined route to maximize efficient and on-time deliveries for our customers.

Housekeeping:

Disposing of any trash & perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD AND HAVE A GOOD DRIVING RECORD

Must be able to bend, stand, reach, pull, lift and carry items. This is includes loading/unloading delivery trucks, carrying furniture into customer's homes, and occasionally up flights of stairs. Must Work Weekends No prior experience required Basic materials handling skills Understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA standards Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks (training provided) Mechanical knowledge and heavy lifting capability are advantageous Ability to work in both hot and cold environments dependent on season This is a safety sensitive position, therefore you must be able to pass a drug test at all times, regardless of medical status.
