Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience & Relationship Management Account Stewardship:
Build and maintain long-term relationships with local painting contractors. Learn their preferred products, volume needs, and job-site schedules to provide proactive service.Bilingual Liaison:
Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking crews, translating technical application instructions and ensuring order accuracy to prevent job-site delays.Conflict Resolution:
Professionally handle customer concerns regarding color shifts, drying issues, or product performance with a focus on retaining the client's trust.Professional Networking:
Engage with visiting interior designers and architects, positioning our store as their primary resource for Benjamin Moore color tools and samples.Store Maintenance & Merchandising Strategic Stocking:
Ensure all Benjamin Moore product lines (Aura, Regal, Scuff-X) are fully stocked and front-faced. Monitor inventory "holes" and report low stock to management before it impacts sales.Showroom Standards:
Maintain a "gallery-standard" showroom. This includes dusting color racks, organizing oversized chips, and ensuring the "Color Bar" is inviting for high-end clients.Facility Upkeep:
Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the tinting station. Ensure that the mixing area remains free of dried paint drips and debris to maintain a professional atmosphere.Equipment Care:
Conduct daily maintenance on the Gennex® tinting machines and shakers to ensure they are calibrated and functioning safely. Technical Color & Sales Gennex®Color Technology:
Become an expert in our proprietary waterborne tinting system, explaining why it provides superior durability and color retention.Precision Matching:
Perform "dead-on" color matching for both English and Spanish-speaking clients using digital tools and manual adjustments.Upselling & Sundries:
Identify the tools (brushes, rollers, tape) necessary for a project and ensure the customer has everything needed to achieve a "Benjamin Moore finish."Required Skills & Qualifications Language:
Full professional fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.Physical Stamina:
Ability to unload shipments, stock heavy shelves, and lift/carry 5-gallon pails (approx. 60 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.Interpersonal Skills:
A "people person" who remembers names and project details, fostering a community feel within the store.Detail Oriented:
High standards for cleanliness and organization; you can't stand a messy shelf or a dusty display.Pay:
