Job Description:
Must have 5+ years experience in furniture repair Are you a skilled craftsman with a passion for restoring furniture? Do you have a keen eye for detail and an ability to repair furniture to its former glory? We're looking for a Part Time Furniture Medic to join our team and help our customers bring their beloved furniture back to life! As a Furniture Medic, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing various types of furniture, including wood, upholstery, and leather. Your expertise will ensure that our clients' furniture looks and functions like new again. This position is expected to work two days per week at our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
Repair and restore damaged furniture (wood, upholstery, leather, etc.) to high-quality standards. Assess and diagnose damage. Perform refinishing, reupholstering, and touch-ups as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures. Communicate effectively with customers, providing excellent service and advice. Keep up-to-date with the latest furniture repair techniques and tools.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in furniture repair, restoration, or a related field (2+ years preferred). Knowledge of woodwork, upholstery, and leather repair. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent customer service and communication skills. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for mobile services). Ability to lift and move furniture as needed. Why Join Us? Competitive pay and benefits. $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
