Furniture Restoration Specialist (Comfort Creator) Skilled Trade Position Full-Time Year-Round Employment New Look Furniture - "We Save You Money" Cabinet Makers, Woodworkers, Auto Body Technicians, Upholsterers, Finish Carpenters, RV & Marine Repair Technicians Encouraged to Apply! Do you take pride in repairing, restoring, and making things look like new again? New Look Furniture is looking for a skilled Furniture Restoration Specialist to join our team. Whether you're repairing a wood finish, matching a color, replacing a recliner mechanism, or restoring a customer's favorite piece of furniture, your craftsmanship helps create an exceptional customer experience. A Day in the Life As a Furniture Restoration Specialist, you will: Inspect furniture and assess damage Repair scratches, dents, chips, gouges, and damaged finishes Perform burn-ins, color matching, blending, and wood graining Repair leather, fabric, and upholstery damage Replace recliner, motion, and furniture mechanisms Assemble and disassemble furniture Read parts diagrams and install replacement parts Perform in-home service calls when needed Test repairs to ensure factory-quality workmanship Safely operate hand and power tools Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace Work closely with our warehouse, delivery, and customer service teams Qualifications Experience in furniture repair, woodworking, cabinetry, upholstery, auto body, RV, marine, or finish carpentry preferred Experience with wood finishing, color matching, and blending Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to lift and move furniture weighing 75+ lbs.
