Job Description

Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wood Craftsman / Finishing Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and has experience working with wood products from preparation through final finishing. Position Summary You would be responsible for preparing, repairing, finishing, and restoring wood surfaces to meet high-quality standards. This role requires expertise in staining, color matching, sanding, and applying various wood finishes while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Essential Responsibilities Prepare wood surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and repair prior to finishing. Apply stains, dyes, sealers, paints, and protective finishes to wood products. Match existing colors and finishes to customer or project specifications. Perform touch-ups, repairs, and refinishing work on furniture and wood components. Inspect finished products to ensure quality and consistency. Operate and maintain finishing equipment, spray systems, and hand tools. Read and interpret work orders Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet project deadlines. Qualifications Experience in woodworking, furniture finishing, cabinet making, millwork, or a related trade. Knowledge of wood species, stains, finishes, and application techniques. Ability to perform color matching and blending. Experience using sanding equipment, spray equipment, and hand tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with furniture restoration, refurbishment, or custom woodworking. Familiarity with environmentally responsible finishing practices. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Pay:
$21.50 - $23.50 per hour
