At JAM Best One Fleet Service, we are looking for motivated individuals to assist our team during the summer months. This is a great opportunity for students interested in mechanics, diesel technology, agriculture, welding, fabrication, or hands-on careers. No experience required, just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and positive attitude. Position Overview Summer Helpers will assist our technicians and shop teams with entry-level tasks such as: Organizing tools, parts, and shop areas Sweeping and helping keep the shop clean and organized Washing and cleaning vehicles Stocking shelves and sorting inventory Assisting technicians with non-hazardous tasks Mounting and dismounting standard tires using manual tools Operating a tire balancer Learning about the commercial tire and mechanical industry This position allows incumbents to gain valuable real-world experience while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Currently enrolled in mechanical career school is encouraged but not required Interest in mechanical, automotive, diesel, agricultural, or technical careers is a plus Michigan summer work permit required Must be at least 16 years of age Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a shop environment Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work with tools and equipment throughout the shift The ability to work a full shift, arrive on time, and work according to the necessary schedule to meet business demands with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
