Job Description

Furniture Installation Technician About Dew‑El Dew‑El Corporation is Michigan's leading educational furniture dealer, serving schools and learning environments across the state. For decades, we've been known for quality, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience. The Installation Tech will join our team and have a customer facing role as the build and install furniture onsite with our clients. They are responsible for the quality and timeliness of the work performed on the job. The Installation tech must always represent Dew-El with professionalism. This role reports directly to the Director of Operations at Dew‑El. Position Overview As a Furniture Installer, you'll help deliver, assemble, and install educational furniture at customer sites. This is a hands‑on, team‑oriented role that requires physical work, attention to detail, and a professional attitude while working directly with customers. This is an hourly role, reporting to the Director of Operations , with eligibility for paid time off and benefits . What You'll Do Deliver, stage, assemble, and install furniture on‑site Load and unload furniture, equipment, and materials
  • Keep detailed records during installation to note any issues that may occur during installation (e.
g. missing or damaged products) Use hand tools such as cordless drills and socket sets Read installation paperwork and furniture plans Communicate with your job lead and teammates throughout the day to address any issues or concerns regarding the project Represent Dew‑El professionally at customer locations Follow all safety procedures and company standards What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Clear and professional communication skills, including written, verbal and listening skills under stressful situations Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical work Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather Ability to learn about Dew-El distributed products and willing to share knowledge with other employees Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction Detail oriented Ability to prioritize in an ever changing, multi-tasking environment Problem solver, strong ability to anticipate, recommend and implement solutions Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred:
Experience installing or assembling furniture (training available) Carpentry or mechanical experience is a plus Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Must be able to pass a background check CDL or Michigan Chauffeur license is a plus but not mandatory Schedule & Travel Typical hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM Occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel (1-2 weeks each occurrence max) Pay & Benefits Hourly pay Paid time off and benefits available, once accrued time is met Why Work at Dew‑El?   • Helping the team operate smoothly by keeping clear records, following processes, and working safely to avoid injuries and delays
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
