Bay Technician - Job Description (Car Wash & Detailing Shop) Position Overview Bay Technicians are responsible for performing high‑quality vehicle cleaning and detailing services inside their assigned bay. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and pride in delivering a premium customer experience. Technicians work under the direction of the Bay Manager to ensure every vehicle meets shop standards. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Cleaning & Detailing Perform exterior washes, interior cleaning, vacuuming, wiping, and detailing tasks. Apply waxes, dressings, and cleaning chemicals correctly and safely. Follow service checklists to ensure all steps are completed. Quality Standards Inspect your work before the vehicle leaves the bay. Meet the shop's expectations for shine, cleanliness, and overall presentation. Report any issues or damage immediately to the Bay Manager. Workflow & Efficiency Complete assigned vehicles on time while maintaining quality. Follow the daily schedule and instructions from the Bay Manager. Keep tools and supplies organized for fast, smooth workflow. Customer Experience Maintain a professional attitude and appearance. Treat every vehicle with care and respect. Assist with customer questions when needed (if directed by management). Safety & Cleanliness Keep the bay clean, dry, and safe at all times. Use chemicals and equipment according to training. Follow all shop safety rules and procedures. Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Basic knowledge of car cleaning and detailing (training provided) Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Good communication and positive attitude Physical ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods Performance Expectations Deliver consistent, high‑quality detailing work Maintain a clean and organized bay Follow all procedures and checklists Work well with the Bay Manager and team Protect customer vehicles and shop equipment

From $10.50 per hour
