Duties Prepare furniture surfaces by sanding, stripping, and cleaning to ensure optimal finishing results Apply stains, paints, lacquers, and protective finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and hand tools Repair minor damages such as scratches, dents, or veneer issues through patching and refinishing techniques Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately restore or refinish furniture pieces Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools including sanders, drills, and spray guns to achieve precise finishes Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols on the job site Collaborate with team members on renovation projects involving furniture restoration and refinishing Skills Strong knowledge of color theory to match stains and finishes perfectly Experience with residential and commercial painting techniques specific to furniture refinishing Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, scrapers, brushes, and caulking guns Familiarity with construction estimating for project planning and material needs Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate restoration work Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during refinishing projects Hands-on experience with construction site work including plastering, masonry, carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing, stucco work, and concrete finishing Knowledge of industrial painting methods such as airless paint spraying and welding techniques for specialized restoration tasks Experience with fixture installation, renovation projects, or handyman work is a plus Strong understanding of maintenance procedures related to furniture preservation and restoration Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to make a tangible impact through your skills!
