Pfeifer Studio is a leading high-end custom wood furniture manufacturer based in Bernalillo, serving the international custom furniture market. We are seeking a Woodshop Artisan interested in building a career in woodworking. We offer a great working environment and room for career advancement. The ideal associate will possess previous woodworking experience, promote safety, and demonstrate teamwork. We are also willing to train motivated individuals looking to learn a trade that will lead to a satisfying and profitable home furnishings manufacturing career. American Made Furniture - These are the items that you'll be proud to stand beside! Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Positions available for Experienced & Entry Level / WILL TRAIN Full-Time Hours (40 a week) Competitive Wages start at $20.00 - $26.00 + / hr Pay based on experience. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES
Lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs) Standing & walking continuously. You must be able to remain on your feet in an upright position and move about on foot for the duration of your shift. You will also bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach at or above shoulder level. Working around heavy equipment & materials Working around loud machinery Using hand or power tools Reading technical drawings Working around wood dust Working indoors and outdoors Using computers for tracking and updating production tracking software Keeping accurate records and following documented procedures and standards Working with wood finishing products Recognizing wood species characteristics Cutting and joining wood or other construction materials Mixing stains, paints, ingredients, or chemicals, according to specifications Examining products or work to verify conformance to specifications Making an independent judgment in assembly procedures Applying adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings Applying a protective coating to products Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Flexibility to be cross-trained to assist with other jobs within plants Brushing or hand-rubbing finishing ingredients, such as stains and waxes, onto wood grain and applying sealers. Using sandpaper or grinders to smooth, shape, and touch up surfaces to prepare them for finishing. Filling and smoothing cracks or depressions, removing marks and imperfections, and repairing broken parts, using plastic or wood putty, glue, nails, or screws. Cleaning containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools. Recording product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Weighing materials to ensure compliance with specifications. Measure product or material dimensions. Recording details of deliveries or shipments. Self-monitoring your performance to make improvements or take corrective action. Conducting Quality Control tests and inspections of products to evaluate condition and consistency. The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness. Using brooms, vacuums, air compressors & spray cleaners to clean Labeling, organizing, and tracking inventory

TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION PROCESS
All new hires are assigned a mentor and are trained in company standards for finishing, sanding, packaging, and safety. You will need to pass a multiple-choice test, gain 80+ hours of work under supervision, and consistently pass Quality Control checks to become an independent worker.
