In this role, you will be responsible for restoring, repairing, and refinishing cabinets, furniture, and related fixtures to their original condition or improved state. Your expertise will help clients enhance the beauty, functionality, and longevity of their furnishings through precise craftsmanship and innovative restoration techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects within the restoration industry, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction knowledge to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Assess damaged or worn cabinetry and furniture to determine repair strategies and necessary materials Perform comprehensive repairs including re-gluing, filling, sanding, refinishing, and re-finishing surfaces to restore appearance and structural integrity Install new cabinet components such as doors, drawers, hardware, and trim with precision using hand tools and power tools Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide repair processes and ensure accurate restoration or installation Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards Qualifications Proven experience in cabinetry repair, furniture restoration, or related construction fields with a strong background in carpentry and woodworking Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), and CNC machinery for fabrication or assembly tasks Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings relevant to cabinetry and furniture projects Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project planning for repair jobs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during intricate restoration work Experience with water damage restoration, mold remediation, or structural repairs involving plastering or tile laying is a plus Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities for working with clients and team membersJoin us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to make a tangible difference in restoring beautiful furnishings!
