Job Description

Do you love the smell of real hardwood? Do you walk into a beautifully decorated home and immediately notice how the colors, fabrics, and furniture work together? Do friends ask for your opinion when they're decorating? If helping someone create a beautiful home sounds more exciting than "making a sale," we should probably talk. For nearly two centuries, Millspaugh Furniture has been helping families furnish their homes with handcrafted American-made furniture that lasts for generations. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves great design, appreciates quality craftsmanship, and enjoys helping people make important decisions they'll love for years to come. What You'll Do Guide customers through selecting furniture that's customized to their home, lifestyle, and taste. Help coordinate fabrics, woods, finishes, colors, and room layouts. Create beautiful living spaces while making customers feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. Keep our showroom inviting, organized, and inspiring. Maintain catalogs, samples, and design resources. Who We're Looking For We're not looking for a smooth-talking salesperson. We're looking for someone who: Has a positive attitude. Loves beautiful furniture and home décor. Appreciates American-made craftsmanship. Has an eye for color, balance, and design. Enjoys helping people. Is genuinely sincere rather than pushy. Can build trust naturally. Takes pride in doing excellent work. If people have ever told you, "You should have been an interior designer," you'll probably fit right in. If you're interested in this job, email workforPete@Millspaugh.com and put "I Love American-made Furniture" in the subject line. If you fail to do this, your email will not get opened. What Success Looks Like Success isn't measured by how much you talk; it's measured by how well you help people create homes they love. The better you understand your customers taste, style and home, the more successful you'll become. Your earning potential grows directly with your ability to serve people well. Compensation & Benefits Performance-based salary plus commission.
Typical earnings:
$70,000-$150,000+ per year . Health insurance. 401(k) with company match. Profit sharing. 15 days paid time off plus paid holidays. Schedule Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM. One weekday off (Tuesday or Wednesday). 40-hour work week. Closed every Sunday. Ready to Apply? If you love American-made furniture, enjoy helping people make important decorating decisions, and believe your work should make someone's home more beautiful, not just generate a sale, we'd love to meet you.
