Furniture Service Technician

Job Purpose:

The Service Technician will be on the road working on quick in-home furniture and cabinet repairs, delivery of product to customers' homes, assembling of furniture, customer service, etc. Assisting with any additional product sales as necessary for customer's needs and installation of furniture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintaining the service schedule on a daily basis. Maintaining the cleanliness and order of company service vehicles on a daily basis. Maintaining a high level of communication with the Service Manager throughout the day, updating headquarters with information regarding the service schedule, service performed, and additional service needed for customers. Filling out service forms for each given service trip. Necessary and desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following: Clean driving record and background check Must be reliable and trustworthy Furniture experience nice to have Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn Excellent customer service skills required Good skills in both verbal and written communication, neat paperwork necessary Desire to be a team player that is goal oriented and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Good time management skills Computer experience a plus Professional certifications a plus Education (degree(s) required): High School Diploma or equivalent Experience (years of experience required): 1-2+ years of working experience in service technician, furniture building, carpentry etc. Northeast Factory Direct offers a great and rewarding working environment.
