Driver and Installation Specialist Chuppah Studio New York, NY Job Details Part-time | Contract $40 - $50 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Automobile transportation Carpentry Route driving Personal vehicle (delivery method) Inventory management Driver's License Attention to detail Vehicle parking operations Full Job Description Chuppah Studio - New York City Chuppah Studio, a boutique company specializing in fine art marriage canopies and chuppahs, is seeking a Driver / Installer / Inventory Manager to handle weekend deliveries and installations of modular wedding canopy structures for weddings in the NYC area. This position offers seasonal and occasional weekend work, ideal for someone with art handling, catering, or service industry experience who has their own vehicle and is looking to supplement their income.

Essential Qualifications:

Valid driver's license Insured vehicle (station wagon, small SUV, or larger - must fit a box that is 96" x 4" x 4") Familiarity with driving and parking in NYC Facilities to store a small inventory (closet-sized) modular furniture or light carpentry skills Ability to lift up to 65 lbs Punctual, dependable, and highly organized, with attention to detail Professional attitude and appearance for working with high-end clients and wedding vendors Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Experience with installation procedures, techniques, or related trades background

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in art handling, catering or events, furniture moving or assembly, or carpentry

Compensation:

$40-$50/hr, based on experience Responsibilities Safely operate and drive vehicles for local deliveries and transportation of art and equipment, adhering to parking, loading, and routing protocols. Load, secure, and transport artworks, crates, and supplies; assist with moving and furniture assembly as needed. Manage inventory during pickups and deliveries, document conditions, and communicate any discrepancies to the supervisor. Assist with setup of displays or installations as required; collaborate with designers on layout and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and safety of workspace and equipment; perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles and gear.
