This position focuses on restoring, repairing, staining, sanding, and finishing wood furniture pieces to high-quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience working with furniture, understands different wood types and finishes, and takes pride in detailed craftsmanship. Responsibilities Sand, strip, stain, and refinish wood furniture pieces Repair scratches, dents, chips, and minor structural damage Match existing stain colors and finishes Apply sealers, lacquers, paints, oils, and protective coatings Prepare furniture pieces before upholstery installation Maintain a clean and organized work area Safely operate sanding and refinishing equipment Inspect finished products for quality control Work with upholstery staff to complete custom furniture projects on schedule Qualifications Experience in wood refinishing, cabinetry, furniture restoration, or related trade preferred Knowledge of stains, paints, clear coats, and finishing techniques Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to lift and move furniture as needed Reliable transportation and punctuality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills Experience with custom furniture or upholstery shops Color matching experience Spray gun finishing experience Understanding of wood repair and touch-up techniques Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities available Consistent workflow and projects

Pay:
