Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Furniture Rearrangement Specialist to transform spaces through expert furniture placement and organization. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, assembling, and adjusting furniture pieces to optimize space utilization and aesthetic appeal. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with power tools, and hands-on fabrication skills will ensure each project is completed safely and to high standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to creating welcoming environments in a variety of settings. Responsibilities Safely lift, carry, and reposition furniture items of varying sizes and weights, utilizing proper techniques and equipment such as dollies or forklifts when necessary. Disassemble and reassemble furniture using hand tools, power tools, or sewing machines for upholstered pieces or custom fabrications. Use mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills to modify or repair furniture components as needed. Measure spaces accurately with calipers or other precision tools to ensure proper fit and placement of furniture pieces. Collaborate with clients or team members to understand layout plans, design preferences, and functional requirements. Operate machinery such as CNC routers or woodworking tools for custom modifications or millwork projects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, construction, or machining tasks. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in woodworking, fabrication, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, sewing machines, and other construction equipment. Experience operating forklifts and understanding warehouse safety procedures. Skilled in using calipers, CNC machinery, and machining techniques for precise adjustments. Knowledge of garment construction or upholstery sewing is a plus for custom furniture projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique. Familiarity with warehouse environments, assembly processes, and heavy-duty construction work.
