Job Description

Move, set up, take down, assemble, repair and maintain furniture throughout the college. Manage and fulfill work order requests with a focus on customer service. Move other items as needed. Follow work order instructions including floor plans and room layouts, ADA requirements, and other written communication. Serve as point of contact with end users - faculty, staff, project managers, etc. - for coordination of assigned work orders and projects. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System and/or other software and apps to track multiple projects and work orders and communicate effectively with project teams. Safely operate equipment for transporting and storing furniture and other college assets, including cargo vans, box trucks, forklifts, dollies, pallet jacks, etc.. Safety procedures and techniques for lifting heavy objects and moving and setting up furniture. Work effectively with a team or independently. Ability to complete time sensitive work. Fulfill training requirements. Organizational skills. Receive and follow verbal and written instructions. Understand and follow instructions in product manual, specifications, and troubleshooting guides. Mechanical aptitude and use of shop and hand tools. Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities. One (1) to two (2) years of related full-time experience. Part-time experience may be considered on 2:1 basis. Valid Utah Driver's License. Associate's degree. Three (3) or more years of related experience.
