Full Job Description Overview:
Fostering Acadia is a licensed child placing agency that support young adults transitioning out of foster care in VA. The Property Services & Design Aide will support the Property Services Coordinator in ensuring that all youth receive a safe and welcoming home environment. This includes work related to setting up apartments for incoming youth and assisting with apartment transitions.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate with contractors to unlock apartments and conduct quality assurance checks. Shop (both online and in person) for personalized apartment items for decorating and stocking apartments Inspect apartments to ensure quality work has been completed and apartment is ready for incoming youth Set up apartments, including stocking, personalizing, decorating (including hanging items),and any last minute needs Ensure apartments are fully stocked, free of maintenance needs, and visually and aesthetically appealing All other tasks assigned by the Property Services Coordinator, such as key audits, securing moving supplies, and emergent apartment needs.
Skills:
Strong administrative skills Detail oriented Takes initiative Able to work independently Eye for design, specifically interior design Thrives in fast paced and on the go environments
Requirements:
Willing to be on your feet for most of shift Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (-4 or better) Willing to drive a box truck (training will be provided) Able to lift approximately 50 pounds
Hours:
Part-time; approximately 15-20 hours per week Flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
