In this role, you will be responsible for applying slurry seal coatings to pavement surfaces, helping to extend the lifespan of roads and parking lots. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to infrastructure maintenance projects that improve community safety and aesthetics. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience operating construction machinery. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and dump trucks to prepare and transport materials for slurry seal application Mix slurry seal materials using concrete mixers and ensure proper consistency for optimal application Apply slurry seal coatings accurately on designated pavement surfaces using specialized spray equipment Conduct pre-application inspections of the work site, including checking for surface integrity and safety hazards Perform concrete finishing tasks when necessary, including rebar installation and concrete forming to support pavement structures Maintain equipment by performing routine mechanical checks and troubleshooting issues promptly Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment Experience Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders, excavators, and dump trucks Hands-on experience with concrete mixers, paving, concrete pumping, and concrete finishing techniques Construction site experience with knowledge of asphalt and pavement maintenance procedures Mechanical knowledge related to maintaining and troubleshooting construction machinery Commercial vehicle operation certification or licensing is preferred Familiarity with rebar installation and concrete forming processes is a plus Strong understanding of construction safety standards and protocols
