In this energetic position, you will operate specialized equipment to apply slurry seal coatings that extend the lifespan of pavement, ensuring safe and smooth driving conditions for communities. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your mechanical skills, and contribute to infrastructure improvements that make a real difference. Duties Operate slurry seal squeegee machines with precision to evenly distribute sealant across road surfaces Coordinate with the paving crew to ensure proper application and adherence to project specifications Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment, including concrete mixers, loaders, and dump trucks Support concrete pumping and finishing tasks as needed to prepare surfaces for slurry application Conduct safety inspections of machinery and work sites to maintain a secure environment for all team members Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and project progress Collaborate with other construction personnel such as rebar installers, excavator operators, and concrete finishers to ensure seamless workflow Experience Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders, excavators, or dump trucks is highly desirable Hands-on knowledge of paving processes, concrete forming, and concrete finishing techniques Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and procedures Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and effectively Experience working on commercial or public infrastructure projects is a plus Basic understanding of rebar installation, concrete mixing, and construction site logistics
