Summary/Objective:
The Deburring Technician is responsible for ensuring that all machined parts are burr-free and meet quality standards by operating various hand/air tools and buffers. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining safety and quality standards, proper documentation, and the upkeep of equipment and accessories to support the achievement of Masterbilt's business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
Blueprint and Documentation Reading:
Accurately read and interpret part blueprints and documentation to meet part quality criteria.
Safety Compliance:
Maintain safe operations by strictly adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Documentation:
Document actions meticulously by completing production and quality logs.
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with industry advancements by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Competencies/Qualifications:
Tool Proficiency:
Skilled in operating sandblasters, roto tools, and parts cleaners using correct procedures.
Chamfering and Drilling:
Capable of chamfering and re-drilling parts efficiently.
Visual Inspection:
Expert in visually identifying burrs and swells on intricate parts.
Knifing and Buffing:
Proficient in performing knifing and buffing on detailed components.
Paperwork Accuracy:
Understand and accurately complete all job-related paperwork.
Deburring Methods:
Knowledgeable in all deburring methods to deburr intricate parts independently.
Part Repair:
Ability to repair parts as needed to ensure quality.
Measurement Skills:
Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and simple gaging tools.
Blueprint Reading:
Basic blueprint reading skills to ensure accurate part processing.
Physical Demands:
This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs regularly. Proficient use of hands for various tasks.
