We operate to AS9100 standards, serving customers who count on us to get it right the first time. If you take pride in clean, precise finish work, we want to hear from you. The Role We're looking for a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined Grinder to join our production team. In this role, you'll assemble customer products to specification and perform grinding, deburring, and finishing operations on metal components, helping deliver the polished, high-quality parts our customers expect. What You'll Do Follow router instructions and verify materials match routers and drawings Set up and operate grinding and finishing equipment, including belt sander, time saver, abrasive wheels, tumbler, vibratory equipment, and hand tools (orbital grinder, angle grinder, cutting wheel, etc.) Perform deburring, edge rounding, weld blending, cutting, and polishing Set up finishing equipment with the correct grit belts or pads for each job Review routers and prints to confirm materials and instructions before starting work Conduct setup, first-piece, and in-process inspections per AS9100 standards Maintain proper documentation and complete router operations accurately, including hardware and material traceability Perform preventive maintenance and basic upkeep on grinding equipment Perform Pem insert operations (once authorized), using correct tonnage and setup pressure Keep parts with their associated router at all times Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and follow all safety procedures Operate forklift safely and in accordance with training guidelines, when required Schedule Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 1-3 months of related experience or training preferred; grinding/finishing experience a plus Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and finishing instructions Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide; ratios and percentages) Comfortable using precision measuring tools such as calipers Willingness to learn manufacturing software (ProfitFab, Metacam) — training provided Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Strong safety awareness and a commitment to quality craftsmanship Why Join K2 Manufacturing?
