Job Description

SUMMARY

The Deburr Technician is part of the production and finishing team. You will typically work on the manufacturing floor as a piece of the post-production team. Your job is to perform an inspection and remove burrs from products after production so that you can finish these products properly. A burr is a ridge that is often left on a product by machines during the manufacturing process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Deburr and process machined valve components in post machiningChase machine cut threads to size if necessaryPolish tight tolerance surface finishes and inspect with profilometerWash parts that have gone through deburr process and passivate using citric passivation process when requiredAssist with material inventory and prep for machining processesOperate a mass finishing barrel tumbler using given recipes for specific parts and materialsMeet expectations for productivity and production goalsMaintain a clean and efficient work environmentConstantly keep products moving and alert management when production is inhibitedProvide continuous ideas for process improvements
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of professional work experience in a factory or production environment
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
1+ years of deburr experience using various deburr techniques using manual and automated equipment is preferredExperience working in a machine shopExperience with basic blueprint readingKnowledge of CNC machiningExperience using various measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, profilometers, and borescopes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Operating machinery from a standing positionConstantly positions self to operate machinery in a variety of configurations.

Constantly visually inspect partsOccasionally lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds
